The company celebrates its 20th birthday with a satisfactory balance of its business trajectory and constant evolution in all aspects: economic results, human team, values, expansion of business lines and establishment in the national and international market.
Since Abel Moreno and Antxon Errea, launched into entrepreneurship in 2004, the company has gone from a turnover of 20 million euros in 2022 and 2023, to a forecast of reaching 30 million in 2024. This figure will be obtained thanks to the growth in size of the projects taken on this year and the new lines of business: Gurpea Green Tech and GTM Mexico.
Following the acquisition of two companies in 2015 and 2021, the opening of new offices in Catalonia and Mexico, and the establishment of work centers throughout the north of Spain, it has expanded its activity and currently forms a company, unique in its size, which combines the comprehensive service of automation engineering and industrial maintenance.
Under a new group structure (Gurpea Group), which supports with infrastructure and know-how the competitive strength of all its business lines in a growing market, Gurpea now has a new headquarters in Barbatáin, with which it adds 4,000m2 of production facilities.
A position of leadership that, after twenty years of work, is backed by the consolidation of reference customers in its sector such as Volkswagen, Cinfa, Schneider Electric, General Mills, SMP, Mercedes, Monbake and Solidus, among others, to whom it provides services at international level.
Gurpea Group expects that, by nature, this growth will be accompanied by significant job creation, both in the engineering and industrial maintenance divisions, which will mean an evolution from the current 265 workers to 280.
- Investment in technological innovation and human capital.
The anniversary is accompanied by a commitment to investment in new technologies and a strong commitment to human capital as a differentiation strategy to improve efficiency and offer innovative services that meet the changing needs of the market, maintaining a solid and sustainable long-term advantage in a highly competitive environment.
In this sense, Gurpea Group has already opted for the acquisition of the reference software for project virtualization (Process Simulate), the implementation of an advanced sales and marketing management and automation tool, and the integration of an augmented reality solution as a complementary technology in its automation engineering projects.
As far as human capital is concerned, the company sees cohesion as an essential element in view of the expected growth of the team, which it will promote with the incorporation of new platforms and internal initiatives that favor communication, motivation, information exchange, and therefore, operability and efficiency. These include a podcast, an intranet communication module and interdepartmental work sessions as a channel for sharing knowledge and concerns.
